A day to remember

 

September 11, 2011

I deemed this photo necessary being that it's September 11'th and that great tragedy that occurred on this day ten years ago. I still remember it like it was yesterday and they had to explain it to a bunch of third graders they'd just met who had no idea the impact it would have on the rest of their lives. They sent home a flyer on purple paper, funny how things stick with you even 10 years later. 

I thought one of the interesting things about this day is that no one mentioned it at church, and maybe I missed it or wasn't paying attention, but I at least expected it to be mentioned. I guess it's smarter not to dwell in the past.

This evening I went with my grandparents to Michele's dad's for dinner again. It's always fun :)
